Sleeping on the Moon ... A Unique Kalahari Desert Experience offered by Uncharted Africa Safari Co. With the arrival of the dry season, Uncharted Africa Safari offers the Kubu Quad Bike Expeditions into the lunar-like saltpans of Botswana's Makgadikgadi Pans in the Kalahari Desert. This is a superb opportunity to combine three nights at Jack's Camp or Camp Kalahari with an epic quad bike journey across the pans and two nights spent sleeping out under the stars among the boulders and baobabs on Kubu Island. Crowned with an array of ancient, gnarled baobabs and surrounded on three sides by a vast grey emptiness Kubu has a unique atmosphere and is one of the most beautiful spots in Botswana. The two night Kubu Quad Bike Safari is combined with at least three nights at Jack's Camp or Camp Kalahari and is available to guests staying at Planet Baobab.
